COVID INNOVATIONS

Inspiring initiatives helping Food & Bev businesses in trying times

The creative, bold and bloody swift ways that we’ve been seeing businesses and brands rearrange & reinvent their offering during the last few months has been inspiring.  As the world remodels itself in the face of COVID-19, many bright minds are rising to the challenge of change, and embracing the immediacy of digital platforms to deliver their solutions.

We at New Beach have always been big fans of the future-focussed folk at Trendwatching. They too, have adapted their product in the tide of this pandemic, to bring a new curation of hundreds of COVID-related innovations, segmented by industry and full of great ideas from around the world.

COVID innovations

Obviously, once social distancing measures were brought into effect, the Food & Beverage sectors were the first to be hit with a massive change in the way that their products are consumed. Restaurants, bars and alcohol brands are at the very heart of social interactions, so it’s no surprise some really creative adaptations have been the brain-children of the Food and Bev industry.

Here are some of our fave F&B COVID-innovations:

‘Pub in a Box’

The bundles, available throughout the UK, contain a mix of core beers in 330ml cans (either 8, 16 or 24), one Signature Brew Glass, some snacks, some beer mats, different spotify playlists curated by music journalists to accompany each beer, and lastly a music quiz - everything to bring the pub to your home.

Ayuda A La Carta

This Colombian initiative enables people to buy a 20, 50 or 100 dollars-voucher from a local restaurant or bar. Then Ayuda A La Carta will double the amount of money given to the place chosen. Finally, people will be able to enjoy the voucher when the bar reopens!

Molson Coors

The Canadian beer company is rewarding hosts of its virtual meetings with a $25 gift card intended for use at their favourite local bar once restrictions put in place due to COVID-19 are lifted.

As the world adapts and COVID throws us new curveballs, changes and even opportunities, we look forward to watching more innovative projects emerge.
In this ‘new-normal’, New Beach Co embraces the challenge.
